Natalia was 16 when her freedom was stolen. Her mother left her when she was a young child, and her father’s drinking habits forced her to fend for herself. A trusted teacher convinced her that she could have a better life by finding work in another country. Instead, she was captured, abused, and sold as a sex slave. 100,000 young girls and women in Moldova (Europe’s poorest country) have experienced a nightmare like Natalia’s.
